Betty Brainerd, ND received her master’s degree in health education from Southern Connecticut State University, and her doctorate degree from National College of Naturopathic Medicine in
Portland,
Oregon. She has had over 20 years experience in the health field, including work at
YaleNew HavenHospitalHealthPromotionCenter, Yale University Department of Human Genetics, Southern Connecticut State University, and her current private practice at Shoreline Natural Health Care, LLC. She is a provider for Anthem Blue Cross.
Dr. Brainerd sees patients with a wide range of chronic and acute health conditions: a partial list includes menopause, PMS, allergies, digestive problems, fatigue, insomnia, environmental sensitivities, chronic sinusitis and bronchitis, autoimmune diseases, Lyme disease, thyroid and adrenal imbalances, hypertension and high cholesterol, psoriasis and eczema, depression/anxiety and ADD/ADHD, as well as arthritis/bursitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and plantar fasciitis.
Her goal is to help her patients restore health by gaining an understanding of their unique concerns and creating a treatment plan which fits their individual needs. Dr. Brainerd does not simply treat disease--she treats people.
